Students of the interdisciplinary, bilingual and research-oriented programme European Studies deal with the subject and challenges of the "New Europe" in its (inter-)cultural, social, political, legal, and economic aspects. The programme mediates in-depth knowledge and competencies on the social and cultural diversity of Europe, the processes of European integration as well as postsocialist transformations in Central and Eastern Europe.
The MA degree course takes 4 semesters to complete (including examinations).
In the MA coursestudying abroad and /or an internship / a work-placement is not an obligatory part but may be done voluntarily
The MA is designed to be completed consecutively.
In order to help students make choices about which classes to enrol in and which skills they need to develop information is available both in written form and as introductory talks explaining the contents of the classes being offered. Specialist advisors from the faculties and departments may be contacted for further explanations and help.
